Virgil Wagner, President ![]() Virgil hails from Omaha, Nebraska. He worked in various construction-related industries, including Vice President of a foundation repair and waterproofing corporation. He studied Construction Engineering Technology at the University of Nebraska – Omaha. His background in construction led him to found Wagner Home Inspections in 1981. His hard work and reputation for quality allowed Virgil to serve as the Vice President of the Greater Omaha Home Inspector’s Association and as President of the National Residential Inspector’s Association. In 1993 he relocated the company to Florida, where he was licensed by the State of Florida as a Radon Measurement Technician. Virgil is also certified by the National Association of Certified Home Inspectors and by Pro-Labs© as a Mold Assessor. Since founding the company, he has performed over 12,000 home inspections. Virgil has three children and three grandchildren, and he enjoys camping and traveling.
![]() Steve comes to us from Cincinnati, Ohio, where he obtained a background in construction working with relatives in the plumbing, electrical, and carpentry industries. He obtained a degree in Physics with Advanced Mathematics from Xavier University before moving to Florida. Prior to joining Wagner Home Inspections in 1996, Steve spent several years working in the pest control industry. During his tenure at Wagner he has performed over 6,000 inspections, been certified by the National Association of Certified Home Inspectors, and also certified as a Mold Assessor. Steve has six children and one grandchild. In his spare time enjoys kayaking, playing golf, and spending time with his family.
![]() A native of Omaha, Jason relocated to Tallahassee and earned his degree in Business Management from Florida State University. Prior to working as a full-time home inspector, Jason ran Wagner Spray Brite (a subsidiary company of Wagner Home Inspections), specializing in roof and exterior maintenance. In 2004 he made the transition to performing home inspections. Jason is licensed by the State of Florida as a Radon Measurement Technician and is certified through the National Association of Certified Home Inspectors. Jason is also certified by the International Code Council and carries a certificate as a Mold Assessor. Since becoming an inspector, Jason has performed over 1,800 inspections. In 2007 Jason transferred to Panama City to manage the western division of Wagner Home Inspections. When he isn’t performing inspections Jason enjoys boating, fishing, and spending time with his German shepherd, Roxy.
